Role Overview:
As a Remote Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing various financial tasks from a home-based setting. Your responsibilities will span core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and excellent organisational skills to handle multiple financial processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions.
Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain accurate general ledger records.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Process payroll and manage related statutory deductions.
Collaborate with team members virtually to ensure seamless financial operations.
Assist with ad hoc financial reports and projects as required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
